Catholic Jesuit education is a historical tradition of educating the whole student--educating to serve and be served by the society. The purpose of this quantitative study is to examine the extent to which servant leadership and cultural sensitivity are developed by participating in a service-learning class at a Catholic Jesuit institution. The independent variable is undergoing a service-learning class by students in a teacher education program. The dependent variables are student servant leadership and cultural sensitivity. This study uses cross-sectional methodology to collect data; and statistical analysis to explain the relationship between the independent and dependent variables regarding group differences. The purpose of this presentation is to discuss initial findings of the study.
